BC at the Table is a program that helps students in grades 7-12 explore BC’s food system, including how local food is produced, processed, distributed, and acquired. The program features video segments highlighting foods that play a significant role in BC’s economy and serve as foundational elements of a healthy diet. Each video is paired with a discussion guide, providing background information, key resources for further inquiry, and engaging activities to deepen students' understanding of the local food system.
To teach the program and get digital resources, teacher participation in this online workshop delivered by a BC Dairy registered dietitian is required. This self-paced workshop takes about 60 minutes. All workshops and materials are 100% free. Enroll today to learn how you can use BC at the Table resources in your classroom.
