Little Food Explorers workshop and teaching resources

Little Food Explorers is a program that helps toddlers and preschoolers develop positive feelings about food and eating. Through a guided exploration of 4 different foods, Little Food Explorers provides a fun, structured approach to help young children gain confidence and enjoy the process of exploring new foods.

This workshop will cover:

Food literacy and how to deliver effective, age-appropriate nutrition education for young children
Strategies to support toddlers and preschoolers with eating competence and develop positive feelings about food and eating
The Little Food Explorers program materials and the philosophy behind the program
Lesson plans and experiential activities to help introduce toddlers and preschoolers to new foods
A summary of the feeding responsibility for parents and caregivers
A certificate of attendance

To teach the program and get digital resources, educator participation in this online workshop delivered by a BC Dairy registered dietitian is required.
